This policy explains what information What's in my Fridge ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is operated by John Bell (sole trader), trading as "What's in my Fridge". If you have any questions, contact us at johnpbell7@gmail.com.
Anyone who uses the app. If you only use it without an account, your data stays on your device (see "Data stored on your device"). If you create an account, the data below also applies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We use trusted third parties to run the app. They process data on our behalf:
The app keeps a copy of your fridge in your device's local storage so it works offline and loads instantly. Clearing your browser/app data removes this local copy.
We keep your account and fridge data while your account exists. Scanned images are not retained after processing. If you delete your account, we delete your associated data (subject to any legal retention requirements and provider backup cycles).
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, email johnpbell7@gmail.com. You can also delete items in-app or request account deletion.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; we'll change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
